Nurses

We have a team of experienced nurses working within the practice. Appointments with them can be made through the receptionists. The practice nurses are available to give advice, carry out immunisations and blood tests. They also carry out blood pressure checks, cervical smears, ear syringing and health checks. The practice nurses help run the following review clinics: diabetic, blood pressure HRT (hormone replacement therapy), asthma reviews and coronary heart disease screening.

The practice nurses also run a daily dressings clinic. Appointments are made via the receptionists. Please note that these appointments need to be booked in advance and are rarely available on the day.

Healthcare Assistants

We have three healthcare assistants working alongside the practice nurses and doctors. They carry out phlebotomy (taking blood), blood pressure checks and ECG’s.

Our healthcare assistants also provide smoking advice clinics. If you would like help to stop smoking, an appointment can be made via our receptionists.
